Are prepaids cards going away?

I noticed ping.fo deleted almost everything on his channel, and all the shops that sold prepaid gift cards no longer have any stock whatsoever. I have a lot of money in store credit in ping.fo for prepaid gift cards so it would be a huge loss to me if they are now gone.
